When was the last time you read an entire book cover to cover? For some, it’s probably been a while, especially since turning on the TV for entertainment seems a lot easier. Astonishingly, 80% of U.S. families did not buy a single book in 2016, and this is a shame! Particularly when considering that reading fiction has shown to improve brain connectivity and function. According to a 2013 study, reading novels exercises the left temporal cortex, an area of the brain that processes language and visualization.
